USDC
USD Coin
A USD-pegged stablecoin issued by Circle — the largest fully-regulated, monthly-attested fiat-backed stable.
USDC reserves are managed by BlackRock in the Circle Reserve Fund (cash + short-duration T-bills) plus held cash at multiple US banks. Circle holds NYDFS BitLicense and is publicly listed on NYSE since 2025. Canonical bridging via CCTP (Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol) across 9+ chains. The March 2023 SVB depeg episode is the canonical stress test of its risk model.
