Settlement
The transfer of value finalising a trade or transfer — distinct from the trade or instruction that preceded it.
Stablecoin settlement is typically same-block (effectively T+0). TradFi settlement is T+1 for US equities, T+2 for international. The settlement-time advantage is one of the structural reasons stablecoins have grown into B2B payment rails.
